Thank you for coming.
RJ is an actor and proud cat father from Rockland County, New York. His first stage performance derived from playing Santa Claus as a fifth grader in the elementary school smash hit The Elves' Impersonator, which was also about the same time he began questioning the legitimacy of Santa Claus. From there, his interest in performing broadened into sketch comedy, improv, musical theatre, and eventually acting.
He received a B.A. in Theatre from Fordham College at Lincoln Center, where he was fortunate to study under Phylicia Rashad, Alison Fraser, Steven Skybell, Mark Blum, and others while working in fully produced plays both old and new with some of the more prolific up-and-coming directors and playwrights in the field. He's a company member of Less Than Rent Theatre, where he's worked on several new plays including Gracie Gardner's original staging of Pussy Sludge (dir. Skylar Fox) as part of Sanctuary at HERE. Other recent productions include Diaspora by Nathaniel Sam Shapiro (dir. Saheem Ali) at the Gym at Judson and Saint Joan by Bernard Shaw (dir. Daniel Sullivan) on Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club.
